01Your right to complain

You can complain to LLAMAS GROWTH LTD if you believe our handling of your personal information infringes UK data-protection law. This process covers website information, enquiries and our own business contact activities, including data security, rights requests, disclosure and retention. It is free to use and you do not need legal terminology.

We are registered in England and Wales, company number 17506475. Our company address is 15-17 Middle Street, Brighton, East Sussex, United Kingdom, BN1 1AL. Where we act only on a client’s instructions, we will explain the appropriate controller contact and assist as required.

02Make a complaint

Email contact@llamas-growth.com with “Data protection complaint” in the subject, or write to our company address above. You may use the electronically completable form below to prepare an email or download a document to email or post. The website itself does not transmit the complaint; you must send it from your email application or by post.

Tell us how to contact you, what happened, approximate dates, any relevant earlier correspondence, and the outcome you would like. If you cannot use this form, contact us by email or post for help or an alternative format. We may ask for proportionate identity checks or authority if you act for someone else; please do not send identification documents unless requested securely.

Please avoid sensitive documents or ID copies at this stage. Details stay on your device until you send them by email.

03How we handle your complaint

  • Acknowledge: we will acknowledge receipt within 30 days of receiving your complaint. A prepared email or downloaded file is not receipt.
  • Investigate: we take appropriate steps without undue delay, review relevant information and request clarification only where needed.
  • Keep you informed: we will explain progress, any further information needed and material delays.
  • Explain the outcome: without undue delay, we will provide our conclusions, reasons and any remedial steps. There is no universal fixed statutory deadline for the final complaint outcome; the 30-day period is for acknowledgement.

If you disagree, reply asking for a review and explain what you believe was missed. We will reconsider it and, where practicable, arrange for someone not involved in the original response to review it. This does not restrict your right to contact the ICO or seek a judicial remedy.

04Rights requests and urgent concerns

A complaint is different from a request to access, correct, delete or otherwise exercise rights over personal information. If your complaint also includes such a request, we will handle that request under its own legal timetable, normally one month, subject to lawful extensions or pauses, as explained in our Privacy Policy.

For suspected unauthorised disclosure or urgent data-security concerns, contact the same email promptly and mark the subject “Urgent data security concern”. Do not include passwords or sensitive attachments in an initial report.

05Your complaint information

We use information you send to investigate, communicate with you, meet legal obligations and establish or defend legal rights. Access is limited to people who need it, including relevant advisers or authorities where appropriate. We keep complaint records only as long as necessary for these purposes, relevant legal obligations and limitation periods. See our Privacy Policy for lawful bases, recipients, transfers and your rights.

06Contact the ICO

You have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO). The ICO generally asks you to raise the concern with the organisation first and allow it to respond; this does not remove your legal right to complain to the regulator.

This process reflects section 164A of the Data Protection Act 2018, inserted by the Data (Use and Access) Act 2025. It does not limit other legal rights or remedies.
